Paul wrote in Ephesians 4:4-6, “There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in all.” God’s Word is clear:
There is only one body—the church, comprised of everyone united to Jesus Christ through faith.
There is only one Holy Spirit, who unites us to Jesus through faith.
There is only one Lord—Jesus Christ, the God-man, who lived, died, and rose for our salvation.
There is only one faith—wholehearted trust in Jesus alone to save us from sin and its judgment.
There is only one baptism—being united to Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection by faith in Him.
There is only one Father—God the Father, who reigns supreme from Heaven’s throne.
In Corinth, there were false teachers who proclaimed “another Jesus…a different spirit… a different gospel” (2 Cor 11:4). Friends, to present any other Spirit, Lord, faith, baptism, etc. than the Bible presents is to distort the truth entirely! There is no other Lord than the Jesus Christ presented in the Word of God. Do not be deceived! Cling to the simple yet profound truth that God humbled Himself so you could be reconciled to Him! There is no other gospel!
