“Keep them in Your name!”  John 17:11

The Bible tells us that when a sinner turns to Christ in faith and trust Jesus work on the cross that person is saved right then.  Our salvation is completed in a moment.  That is not all that happens   at the time of salvation of the true believer they also receives the Holy Spirit.   This is our seal, or may I say “our ticket” to heaven and a spiritual sign of who you belong to.  What this means is that not only does Jesus Christ save you in a moment, He through the Spirit keeps you saved the rest of your life.  John 17:11 says this; “I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You.  Holy Father, keep them in your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are.”

Praise the Lord dear church!  Sometimes this world the flesh and the devil can get us down and get us thinking that we are losing the battle of truth, holiness and perseverance.  Take courage my friends, you do not keep your salvation and the devil cannot take it from you.  Our heavenly Father keeps our salvation and no one can snatch us out of His hand.   If this is a struggle for you at this time in your Christian life dear saint flee to the Word of God, read it, believe it and then live it out and just see the power of the Spirit of God secure you and keep you in whatever trial you are going through.   Pastor Mark
