Pastor Mark Morton
Pastor Mark has been a member of Granite Hills Baptist Church (GHBC) for 23 years. Pastor Mark came to faith in Christ at age 21 at GHBC were he has served as Youth Director, Deacon and Bible Study Leader. In August of 2005 GHBC had their Senior Pastor, Dr. James E. Thompson, go to be with the Lord and in October of 2005 GHBC called Pastor Mark to be their Shepherd.
Pastor Mark was previously bi-vocational as Pastor and a Sergeant on the Reno Police Department. In September 2008 Pastor Mark retired from the Police Department and became full-time Pastor of GHBC.
Pastor Mark holds a AA degree from TMCC in Criminal Justice and is presently working on a bachelors degree at Multnomah University Reno-Tahoe in Bible theology.
Pastor Mark is happily married to the love of his life Hope and they have four children, three boys and one girl.
Pastor Mark preaches sermons that are from the Bible and are mixed with vivid illustrations that point to Christ Jesus.
